“ Good food and big servings! I ordered the Bear's Choice(birthday gift promo) and my friend ordered the fish and chips sub with onion rings. Pancakes were awesome paired with sausage and eggs. The fish fry was crispy and fresh and the onion rings and coleslaw were a good accompaniment to the meal. Our server/hostess and cashier were a delight. The place was clean and cabin cozy like atmosphere. ”

“ Here is my two cents on the quantity quality of my pot roast dinner. I order a pot roast dinner with a salad and green beans The food was delivered by Uber eats in a timely manner . My order of a pot roast dinner with mashed potatoes and green beans along with a corn muffin . The only thing that was not up to par was the corn muffin as it was completely cold not even warm whatsoever . The pot roast was very good a large portion that included mushrooms, celery, small potatoes, and carrots . I was not too crazy about the mashed potatoes the texture and amount was quite sufficient. But something about the flavor just not what is up to what I expected, but it was still very good But if you are looking for comfort food, this is the place to go . Overall, a very good restaurant . ”
“ Just a side note, if you sign up to receive emails from Black Bear Diner, they will send you a code for a free Breakfast for your birthday. My wife and I went to black bear diner this morning so I could use my free birthday breakfast code. The parking lot was full as was the restaurant, but we were seated immediately. My free breakfast code was for anything off of the "Bear's Choice". I ordered a sweet cream waffle, two slices of thick cut, smoked bacon, and two eggs over hard. My wife ordered the thick cut French toast, two slices of thick, cut, smoked bacon, and scrambled eggs. Our food took over 15 minutes to arrive and my eggs were over easy, not over hard but I didn't make a fuss since I could tell their staffing was a little low today. I also didn't want to wait since I was starving! The butter they bring out for your French toast, waffles or pancakes is nice and soft and spreads easily and melts quickly. Love that little touch. The food was delicious and I ate all of mine, plus a strip of my wife's bacon. It also took more than a few minutes to get the bill, but I could see that our waiter was stretched pretty thin, probably taking on a few too many tables. They looked to be a bit short-handed today. The restaurant always looks tidy and clean and as soon as you open the front doors, the smell is amazing. We do love, blackbear diner, and of course I will be back again. ”
“ This place is very cute! Love their wood work throughout the restaurant. Plenty of comfortable seating. Inside only. Restrooms are nice and well kept. Environment is very relaxed. Noise control is good. Food is very yummy! When I go, with family and friends, I will always get their Pot Roast. Love it!!! They have 2 sizes. There is the little less version which I think is the best portion size, to be satisfied and the regular size, which is more if you are starving...or want extra to take home and enjoy for later. Prices are reasonable. Plenty of parking. They have a Save Mart and a few other shops around. Staff friendly, however, sometimes I notice they tend to stand together and talk at the end of the restaurant, which is harder to get their attention, sometimes. Would like to see that change. Other than that, it's a very enjoyable place to come and relax and enjoy conversation while you eat your meal. :) ”
